The choir was formed in 2004 focused on bringing together women’s voices with diverse musical experience from local to national choral backgrounds. The group has grown their passion and honed their talents over the past decade and is continuing to set their goals higher. This past June, Safonia traveled to New York as they were invited to sing at the notorious Carnegie Hall. The experience has led the group to seek out additional opportunities for travel and performance collaboration. The side effect is the costs involved in these adventures in addition to the cost of music, rehearsal space and accompanists. The funds raised in this event will assist the choir in achieving their new found goals and keep an affordable ticket price for their concerts.
